Before you make an inquiry:

  • Firstly, please consider if your check-in and check-out date could be on a Wednesday or Sunday, as these are our days for our scheduled transfers between Sorong and the resort.
  • Please also note, that we recommend for you to stay at least one week at our resort – Raja Ampat is wonderful, so we suggest to give yourself some time to enjoy the beauty of it and also take a rest after the journey to this pristine and remote destination.

    Below you find a map to see where our Papua Explorers Resort is located, right at the heart of Raja Ampat. You see the bird’s head shaped peninsula of West Papua and at its northwestern tip the small city of Sorong. Sorong is the entry point to your Raja Ampat vacation. Several domestic flight routes from Jakarta, Makassar, as well as Manado lead here. You’ll arrange your flight to Sorong airport (SOQ) and that is where we will meet you and take care of your transfer to our resort.
